Apple has rolled out the sixth developer beta of iOS 26, alongside updates for iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, macOS, and more. While major changes are tapering off ahead of the software’s expected September public release, beta 6 still packs in some surprises.
The update introduces six new ringtones, all variations of the “Reflection” tone with “Dreamer” emerging as a social media favorite for its catchy, upbeat sound.

One of the most notable tweaks addresses the “Camera swipe” controversy. After initial backlash to reversed swipe directions for switching modes, Apple has removed the option to toggle “Classic Mode” and restored the familiar swipe behavior entirely.
Other refinements include faster app launch transitions, new open/close animations, and continued enhancements to Apple’s Liquid Glass UI, which now features richer color dispersion and more glass-like effects. Users will also encounter a refreshed onboarding experience highlighting iOS 26’s visual and functional upgrades.
Reports from early testers suggest beta 6 is more stable and responsive than previous builds, signaling Apple’s readiness for the public launch. Public beta testers can expect their update soon.
