Atlassian will acquire The Browser Company, maker of Arc and Dia, in a $610 million cash deal. The move marks Atlassian’s push to reimagine browsers for the workplace in the AI era.

“Today’s browsers weren’t built for work; they were built for browsing,” Atlassian CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes said. “Together, we’ll create an AI-powered browser optimized for the many SaaS applications living in tabs.”

The Browser Company will continue to operate independently, with CEO Josh Miller noting the deal will help the startup “hire and ship features faster” while advancing its new browser, Dia.

The acquisition is expected to close in Q2 of Atlassian’s fiscal 2026.
