Character.AI, the popular platform for creating and chatting with AI-generated characters, is stepping further into the social media space. On July 28, the company announced it’s rolling out a new social feed to its mobile apps, allowing users to share videos, images, and conversations with their AI bots and even broadcast AI-powered debates in real time.
The feature, which first launched on Character.AI’s website in June, is now available to mobile users, offering a way to showcase creative interactions and content generated through the app. Users can post snippets of chats, AI-generated images, and videos created with the company’s AvatarFX video model, which turns text prompts and visuals into short clips.
“Our new Feed blurs the line between creator and consumer,” said Karandeep Singh, CEO of Character.AI, in a statement. “You can sit back and enjoy what others have made or jump in and create your own epic adventure.”
Beyond static content, the feed enables livestream-style debates where users’ AI characters take on various topics in front of an audience. It’s an evolution of Character.AI’s mission to make AI conversations interactive, entertaining, and now, shareable.
Character.AI isn’t alone in tapping into the intersection of AI creativity and social sharing. Last month, AI video startup Pika launched an invite-only platform for users to generate and post videos using AI tools.
With generative media becoming more mainstream, platforms like Character.AI are positioning themselves not just as chat tools but as AI-native social networks where every user can be both a creator and an audience.
