DuckDuckGo is expanding its $9.99/month privacy subscription by adding access to the latest AI models through Duck.ai, at no extra cost.
Free users can try Claude 3.5 Haiku, Llama 4 Scout, Mistral Small 3 24B, and GPT-4o mini. Paid subscribers unlock GPT-4o, GPT-5, Claude Sonnet 4, and Llama Maverick.
“These bigger models are better at following detailed instructions, maintaining context, and delivering deeper responses,” the company said, adding that access comes with DuckDuckGo’s signature privacy protections.

The move positions DuckDuckGo against rivals like Quora’s Poe, which also offers multi-model access starting at $5/month. DuckDuckGo says more advanced (and costlier) tiers are coming, though it hasn’t disclosed usage limits.
