Framer, the Dutch no-code website builder boasting over 500,000 monthly active users, has secured a $100 million Series D round led by existing backers Meritech and Atomico, pushing its valuation to $2 billion.

The milestone comes amid rising demand for modern website-building platforms, from established players like Figma, Squarespace, and Wix to newer “vibe coding” startups such as Cursor and Lovable.

Founded in Amsterdam by Koen Bok and Jorn van Dijk, who previously sold their design studio to Facebook in 2011, Framer has carved out a niche as the “website builder loved by designers,” promising sleek, standout sites without developer overhead. Unlike static page builders, its platform supports dynamic websites with analytics, security features, and enterprise-ready tools.

CEO Koen Bok says the fresh funding will accelerate Framer’s enterprise expansion and AI integrations. “We’re doubling down on enterprise growth and AI, so any company can confidently run their entire website on Framer”.

That strategy appears to be paying off. Since rolling out business plans late last year, companies have made up the majority of new customers, including Miro, Perplexity, Scale AI, and 40% of Y Combinator’s latest batch. Enterprise revenue is growing fast, helping Framer reach $50 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) this year, with a target of $100 million ARR by next year. Notably, the company has been break-even for the past 12 months.

The fresh funding marks a sharp jump from its 2023 $27 million Series C, also led by Meritech, and cements Framer’s position as a fast-rising force in the website builder market.
