Instagram has introduced a new feature that lets creators connect multiple reels into a series, making it easier for audiences to follow stories and discover related content.
The Meta-owned platform confirmed the update, which mirrors a capability already available on TikTok. Instead of asking viewers to “come back for part 2,” creators can now directly link their videos, allowing audiences to watch consecutive reels without searching.
The feature is not only helpful for storytelling but also for organizing themed content. For example, a creator sharing seasonal recipes can now group them into one series for easy access.
Creators can link reels when writing captions or through the overflow menu on previously shared reels. Once reels are connected, viewers will see a new button at the bottom left of the reel that takes them to the next video in the series.
