Labubu, the quirky plush monster toy from Pop Mart, is on track to become a billion-dollar business in 2025. In its half-year financial report, Pop Mart revealed that its Monsters series, led by Labubu, generated $670 million in revenue during the first half of the year, marking a staggering 688% year-over-year increase. At this pace, sales will surpass $1 billion by year’s end, outshining even legacy toy brands like Barbie and Hot Wheels.
The toy’s success lies in its blind-box format and global hype, which skyrocketed after BLACKPINK’s Lisa shared her obsession. Celebrities including Cher, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and Marc Jacobs have since embraced Labubu, often flaunting them as designer bag keychains.
