Radiohead has scored its fourth-ever entry on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to an unexpected TikTok surge. The band’s 1997 track “Let Down,” from the acclaimed album OK Computer, has gone viral on the platform, propelling it onto the charts for the first time.

Unlike earlier TikTok-driven revivals of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” or Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” the trend around “Let Down” isn’t built on lighthearted videos. Instead, creators are using the track’s haunting mix of melancholy and hopefulness to soundtrack emotional edits, from Hunger Games clips to montages of injured athletes like Phillies pitcher Zack Wheeler.

The track also gained traction after featuring in the season finale of FX’s The Bear, as well as in a popular TikTok edit that layered a choral arrangement over Thom Yorke’s vocals. That version alone has racked up more than a million likes.

According to Google Trends, interest in “Let Down” began to climb in the spring and has steadily grown since. Though it never achieved mainstream success alongside “Creep” or “Karma Police,” the track has long been a fan favorite, and TikTok’s revival has now cemented its belated moment in the spotlight.
