Snapchat has launched Imagine Lens, a new AI-powered tool that lets users create and edit images from text prompts. Available to Snapchat+ Platinum ($15.99/month) and Lens+ ($8.99/month) subscribers, the Lens allows people to generate Snaps with custom or pre-loaded prompts, such as “make me into a caricature” or “turn this into a comic.”
The feature marks Snapchat’s first open-prompt image-generation Lens, building on the company’s push into generative AI. Users can edit prompts by tapping the caption bar and then share results in Snaps, Stories, or outside the app.

Snap said Imagine Lens is powered by a mix of its own models and other industry AI models. It can be accessed in the front of the Lens Carousel or via the Exclusive category for subscribers.
